This is Cid. Because every Final Fantasy needs a Cid, just like every Pixar movie needs a role for John Ratzenberger. He's 18 years old, loves fixing machines of all sorts, but mostly airships. And is the youngest prince of the royal family in whatever country this game is supposed to take place in. His sister is the princess mentioned in the first couple of sketches I made of Milon. He also has an older brother.

His main weapon is an over-sized wrench, obviously. but he's jsut as good with maces and other such bludgeoning devices. This is mainly a tribute to the Cid in FF4 which happens to be the first Final Fantasy game I ever played.

You gotta love Cid. Nice to see a rather young incarnation of him, too. Part of the reason why the FF7 Cid was so good was because he wasn't as old as the rest of his other incarnations. Though he was technically old in comparison to the rest of the cast.

Oh, and while I probably shouldn't say anything... I actually like FF8.

hehe, now you just need a swordfighter, a person who is skilled in unarmed combat, and a female that is incredibly hot that nobody does anything with because it's not rated M. Not limited to your princess. Perhaps more. FFX had three. X-2 not included.

Milon's the swordfighter. I have a dragoon, but not a design yet, and then there's a magic user. Other than the antagonist and a couple supporting characters, that's about all I've got planned.

oddly enough i was introduced to the series via FF8 and i LOVE the older ones because of it XD FF9 is not to be underestimated though.

FF7 had the best Cid though, hands down XD OVerrated game, but it's still a good game XD

The game itself is overrated only because it has so many fans and those fans' ravings are so outlandish that they cause newcomers to expect something miraculous. Nevertheless, Final Fantasy 7 is still a great game as long as you don't expect to be blown away by it. 9 is definitely the peak of the series, though. 8 was some sort of glitch in the system, though, in that it came before and after really awesome games yet was itself tragically horrible. I could go on, but I suppose I shouldn't XP

The junction system was utterly broken XD fighting the first boss with over 2000 HP is laughable. Final fantasy 7 was indeed a great game, but 9 and 6 are the masterpieces of the series. only reason i say 9 is better is because it's nowhere near as broken and is actually challenging. Atma Weapon+X-Fight=killing God in one attack XD.

aww c'mon, 9 was...well...the storyline was poor anyway. 7, while VASTLY overrated, in my opinion, had the best storyline thus far. and 8...well, 8 was unique in terms of FF games.

XD i'm just riling up trouble here, don't mind me.

I happened to enjoy 9's storyline. Not as much as 7's, sure, but 9's story is definitely above that of 8, 10 or 12.

I just found the storyline to be...well...slightly fragmented, in my opinion. I mean seriously, at the end of it, you realize that not once in the entire game do you hear of the end boss, and he suddenly shows up and is all like "i'ma speak star wars to ya" (anger leads to hate yadda yadda) and then even when you do defeat him he's all "i'll never truly be gone" and such. 'tis just one point.

don't get me wrong, it was an awesome game, it just didn't appeal to me with it's storyline is all. this is just an opinion is all. no offense. if you felt any, it wasn't intended.
